I think Stephen Maynard is an autocratic manager because he has a unilateral decision, dictate of work methods the subordinates need to do and give punitive feedback to the subordinates. He is straightforward and does not consider the employees feeling in the company. This, of course, creates an unhealthy business and environment because the employees feel that they are not part of the company. This leads to the unhappiness and pressure of the employees working in the business. On the other hand, in some parts I think autocratic manager is good because he provides a strong leadership to control the company. He thinks that to make the business success, he needs a comprehensive monitoring, supervising and quick decision.

According with the video of Leadership and Management, Stephen Maynard has an autocratic management style. However, he pays attention, attends and gives the opportunity to his staffs provide any suggestion that make the company work better, he makes a decision unilaterally.

He seems to be a good people. His personality looks strong and very strict with his subordinates. Personnel management is not easy due to differences of characters stiles of working.

His employee feels uncomfortable and unhappiness in their workplace. His leadership styles means have to do what the autocratic manager tells people what to do.

His management style is not effective. People need to be monitored in an upright environment not a dictatorship. Giving feedback to people is necessary in a very fair workplace.

According to the clip named Introduction, Stephen Maynard said that the manager needs to be a strong leader so that he/she could run a company operate efficiently. Therefore, basically, I myself suggest that Stephen's management style is boss-centred leadership upon production or task - centred approach. Sometimes, he would like to listen to his subordinates to make the company operate better; however, he knows that who is a final person making decision. That leads me think that he recognizes the drawback of the autocratic management style, but he insists on organizing and controlling everything by himself; he decides objectives and gives orders.
It is hard to confirm that he is a good or bad person; nonetherness, in terms of business, I personally think that he is a good management, for he knows his forces and business pattern. The fact shows that he is one of successful leaders and the work has done very nice with high productivity. However, his employees are not much more satisfied that they call cloud of fear. It is seem that the management style he is applying makes his staff morale become poor and pressured. It actually does not encourage him to engage his staffs in the decision making process that makes them less motivated and creative in completion of task.

Recently, we have been studying a lot of management and leadership styles; frankly, for me, there is no more impressive then "AIMEE" style. In teaching approach, i am sure most students of UPUb class see how effort shes put on each period.
Final, to be honest, I LOVE " AIMEE" style and I would like to say my great thanks to her.
